Sunday morning, in a school car park.

In Porticcio, on the southern shore of the Gulf of Ajaccio, donors and recipients meet from 9am to noon on 8 November for the Gift Fair. The “Pas un Radis” gift fair in Porticcio

On 8 November, the car park of the Porticcio secondary school hosts the “Pas un Radis” gift fair. The ASCP Rive Sud association runs it on the second Sunday of every month, from 9am to noon.

Nobody sells here. Donors set up as they would at a market, with objects, clothes, books, toys and equipment, and recipients take what they need. Everything is free, which is the whole point of the day.

The fair follows in the wake of the gift groups that are springing up on social media. Porticcio turned the idea into a real meeting, so that the person who gives and the person who receives meet face to face instead of exchanging messages.

The formula caught on from the first editions. At the second, about twenty donors had laid out their belongings and around a hundred people had come along. Porticcio lies fifteen kilometres from Ajaccio by road, and the school is signposted in the resort.

Saturday in Haute-Corse and Alata, Sunday from Ajaccio to Balagne

In Haute-Corse, Saturday plays out on the coast and around Bastia. The Moriani-Plage brocante, in the seaside hamlet of San-Nicolao on the Costa Verde, gathers about forty professionals: antiques, copper, pewter, paintings, old jewellery, old books and postcards. Free entry. In Furiani, the brocante run by the U Felinu association welcomes sellers from 6:45am in the COSEC car park on route de la Marana, with registration on site.

In the Lupino district of Bastia, the Bella-Stella car boot sale runs from 6am to 1pm on the small square of Notre-Dame des Victoires church, with pitches at 10 euros.

07/11/2026 is a first Saturday of the month, which means a car boot sale in Alata. It takes place at La Balisaccia, on the Sagone road, about ten kilometres from Ajaccio: a 4 m by 4 m pitch costs 10 euros, the sixth booking is free, and registration is by email only. The bar opposite serves a dish of the day on request.

On Sunday, Ajaccio opens at 7am the Boulevard Pascal Rossini flea market, which runs until about 1pm: around thirty exhibitors along the pavement, opposite the lycée and the municipal swimming pool, with antique furniture, vinyl records, paintings, books and magazines. Bastia answers from 7am to 1pm with the Place Saint-Nicolas brocante, facing the sea, on a square 300 metres long and 90 wide where antique furniture, postcards and books are laid out.

In Porto-Vecchio, the car boot sale on avenue de Bastia runs from 8am to 2pm in aid of associations that take turns, and only private sellers may exhibit.

Borgo opens at 6am, five kilometres from Bastia-Poretta airport: the car boot sale on route de la Gare stops at noon, with fifty exhibitors at most and clothes, tableware, furniture and toys. In Balagne, the Aregno flea market sets up on Sunday morning opposite Algajola beach, with furniture, trinkets, clothes and books.

Free entry in Ajaccio, Bastia, Borgo and Moriani-Plage.
