Caux, new wine in the circulade

Perched above the wine-growing plain between Pézenas and Béziers, Caux, a fortified village of about 2,500 inhabitants, celebrates its new wine on Sunday 25/10/2026. The car boot sale of the New Wine Festival fills place de la République and the lanes of the medieval circulade, from 8 am to 5:30 pm. Up to a hundred exhibitors lay out trinkets, clothes, toys, crockery, books and flea-market finds. Entry is free. Five metres of pitch cost 10 €.

Between the stalls, the local winegrowers pour their new vintages. The vineyards around the village produce AOP Pézenas and IGP Pays d'Oc wines, and the day comes with live music and a local producers' market.

Two associations run the festival. Les Chats Libres de Caux, which protects animals, and the local branch of the Souvenir Français organise it together, and what the refreshment stand and the food on site bring in funds their work.

Villages of the Gers and the Lot, flea markets of Toulouse and Montpellier

On Saturday 24, on place de la Mairie, Monguilhem holds its Foyer Rural car boot sale. It has passed its thirtieth edition. About a hundred private exhibitors set up in the Bas-Armagnac from 8 am to 6 pm, from 7 am for the setting up, selling clothes, toys, trinkets, crockery, books, tools and small furniture. A lunch is served on reservation, 13 € for adults and 6 € for children under 12.

The same day, place des Tilleuls in Biars-sur-Cère hosts the Club des Aînés car boot sale, from 7 am to 1 pm. Fewer than 50 exhibitors, private sellers and professionals, pay 2 € per linear metre, 3 € with a vehicle. The event returns on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month, from April to November.

On Sunday 25, the monthly flea market of Labastide-Murat takes over place de la Mairie, in Cœur de Causse. It returns every last Sunday of the month. A snack bar and a small restaurant are on site.

In Toulouse, more than 300 exhibitors fill the covered car park of the Sesquières leisure complex for the Sesquières flea market, from 8 am to 5 pm, selling furniture, trinkets, clothes, books, tools and crockery. In Montpellier, the Espace Mosson lines up about 350 exhibitors. It is the city's biggest flea market. On the Promenade du Peyrou, from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm, Les Dimanches du Peyrou bring together about 70 professional antique dealers and secondhand traders, at the foot of the triumphal arch, with antique furniture, art objects, crockery and vintage jewellery.

Halls of Figeac, Trie-sur-Baïse and Albi

In Figeac, about fifty professionals from the Association des Brocanteurs du Figeacois take over the hall on place Carnot, rue de la République and place Champollion on Sunday for the All Saints' flea market, from 8 am to 6 pm, with furniture of character, light fittings, antique textiles, paintings and clocks. Free entry.

In Trie-sur-Baïse, the Halles antique market brings together between 50 and 100 professional exhibitors under the Grande Halle, a listed historic monument, from 9 am to 6 pm. Expect antiques, antique furniture, porcelain, earthenware, glassware and silverware. The Antrie'Quités association runs it twice a year. A covered pitch costs 50 €. Food is served on site.

On Saturday morning, from 7 am to noon, about forty professional dealers set up in Albi under the Castelviel hall, a short walk from Sainte-Cécile cathedral: the Castelviel flea market offers antique furniture, design pieces, paintings, books and vintage toys.
