In Deauville, the monthly professional market takes place every fourth Saturday of the month, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., on the square by the Église Saint-Augustin, a short walk from the Planches. Vbuffard Organisations gathers only antique dealers and professional traders there. Expect old furniture, paintings, jewelry, chandeliers, books, trinkets, antique linen and earthenware.
Trouville-sur-Mer opens earlier, from 7 a.m., in the car park of the church of Notre-Dame de Bonsecours. Its monthly professional market lines up old furniture, tapestries, statues, silverware, postcards and enengravings, while Blonville-sur-Mer keeps the same hours on place Maréchal de Tassigny, with the Blonville-sur-Mer market: trinkets, old tableware and curiosities. Entry is free in Deauville, Trouville-sur-Mer and Blonville-sur-Mer.
Rouen holds its flea market on place Saint-Marc every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, all year round. The Place Saint-Marc flea market mixes vintage furniture, vinyl records, retro clothes and old jewelry, with private sellers and professionals. The city hall runs it. Fridays are quieter. Sunday draws a bigger crowd.
On Sunday, October 25, the ABA association gathers about forty professionals on place du 28 Juillet for the Agon-Coutainville flea market: old furniture, crockery, trinkets, vintage clothes, paintings, books and prints, clocks, old jewelry. It takes place on the last Sunday of the month, from March to October. Eight editions a year, a few steps from the beach.
Verneuil-sur-Avre, in Eure, hosts its multi-collections fair the same day: philately, numismatics, postcards, figurines, minerals, pins, bottle caps and old vinyl records, and exhibitors, often members of collectors' associations, appraise a piece or date a postcard on the spot. This fortified town, founded in the 12th century by the kings of England, keeps its half-timbered houses and its Tour Grise. In Argentan, in Orne, the Association philatélique runs its multi-collections fair in the exhibition hall of the champ de foire, with about twenty private exhibitors. Visitors buy, sell or swap postcards, stamps, coins, cheese labels and old toys. Entry to the Verneuil-sur-Avre fair is free.
For the Rouen flea market, the metro stops at Joffre-Mutualité.
