Six in the morning, on the edge of a village in the Deux-Sèvres. It is in Romans, between Niort and Saint-Maixent-l'École, that the first exhibitors set up on Sunday, October 25, 2026. Flea markets and antique fairs in Nouvelle-Aquitaine on October 24 and 25: Quintaou fleas in Anglet on Saturday, then Romans' autumn festival, Le Dorat's toy fair and Eymet's dealers on Sunday.

The autumn festival in Romans

The autumn festival boot sale brings between 100 and 200 exhibitors to the village centre of Romans on Sunday, October 25. Setting up starts at 6am, and visitors are admitted from 9am to 6pm. The festival committee, a volunteer association, runs the refreshment stand and the food.

Toys, books, crockery, clothes, small furniture, collectibles.

Around the stalls, the activities follow one another. Pumpkins and squashes are on sale, apples are pressed on the spot with fresh juice to taste, bread bakes in the village oven. A plant swap between gardeners, a producers' market with honey, cheeses, charcuterie and jams, and a hike on the nearby paths round off the day.

The village sits in the Deux-Sèvres bocage, reached by the D611, with free parking.

On the night from Saturday to Sunday, France moves to winter time: Sunday-morning browsers gain an hour of sleep.

From Anglet's fleas to Sunday's squares

On Saturday, the Puces de Quintaou fill the Anglet esplanade from 8am to 6pm, with more than 150 exhibitors, dealers and private sellers, on the largest flea market on the Basque coast. Agora Événements runs it, a stone's throw from Anglet's town hall: old furniture, crockery, vinyl records, vintage clothes and toys mingle. On Sunday morning the Foirail antiques market sets up in Pau at the foot of the castle, with old furniture, trinkets and crockery, while the Puces de Saint-Michel take over the Place Meynard in Bordeaux, from 6am to about 1pm, with around a hundred exhibitors beneath the 114-metre spire: antiques, old books, records, second-hand clothes.

In Bonneuil-Matours, a commune of about 1,900 people, the brocante and boot sale opens to the public from 8am to 5pm with about fifty exhibitors, private sellers and dealers, set up from 6:30am at 2 euros a metre. In La Roche-Posay, a spa town in the Vienne, the La Roche-Posay brocante, on the Place du Commerce, also mixes private sellers and dealers, also at 2 euros a metre for exhibitors.

Under halls and arcades

In Billère, at the gates of Pau, the brocante and collectors' fair fills the hall on the route de Bayonne from 7am to 5pm. Some thirty exhibitors mix antiques, classic brocante and collections: postcards, stamps, coins, figurines. Under the covered hall, browsing works in any weather.

In Langon, the Brocante de la Gare fills more than 500 m² of the former SEITA factory on the cours de Verdun, half indoors and half outdoors, from 9am to 6pm. About twenty exhibitors, a watchmaker on site, drinks and snacks at the counter. No clothes or toys: furniture, curios and decoration.

In Eymet, the professional brocante gives the Place Gambetta and its bastide arcades to antiques dealers and trade brocanteurs, from 8am to 5pm. Food on site and parking. The bastide was founded in 1270 on the banks of the Dropt, about 25 minutes from Bergerac by the D933.

In Le Dorat, the toy fair and the boot sale are held under the Halle aux Grains, a few steps from the collegiate church of Saint-Pierre, a 12th-century church listed as a Monument Historique, in this Petite Cité de Caractère of 2,000 people. Board games, figurines, bikes and scooters sit beside the usual bric-a-brac.

Free entry on 24-25/10 at Quintaou, Billère, Eymet and Le Dorat.
