On 12-13 September 2026, flea markets and antique fairs across Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur return to their autumn rhythm: a full weekend in Rians, and eight other dates from the Verdon to the Var coast.

Rians opens two days of hunting near the Verdon gorges
The Haut-Var has its autumn fixture. Rians, a sizeable town at the gates of the Vinon plateau, not far from the Verdon gorges, opens its flea market on Saturday 12 September 2026 and closes it on Sunday the 13th, with no gap between the two days.
No other date in the region spans both full days.
The Rians autumn flea market takes over the squares and streets of the historic centre, a choice that spreads out the stalls instead of packing them into one spot. Buyers and dealers mix side by side. The format, built to close out summer and open the autumn season, mixes ordinary flea-market finds with sought-after pieces, in an atmosphere the organisers call Provençal and convivial, at the gates of the Vinon plateau and the first Verdon gorges.
A whole town centre turned into hunting ground, for two days.
The rest of the weekend across Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur
Three villages in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence close their season the same Sunday. The twinning committee flea market fills the Esplanade des Marres in Sisteron, in support of exchanges with its Spanish twin town Oliva. In Montsalier, a remote hamlet in the Lure mountains, the annual flea market runs at the lowest rate in the department. The Vivre ensemble association charges 2.50 euros per linear metre, from 7am to 5pm, with food and drink on site. Mane, a village next to Forcalquier known for its Salagon priory, closes its season with its autumn flea market, the third and last edition of the year after spring and summer. This priory, an ethnobotanical centre, is a listed historic monument.
Vidauban, meanwhile, opens earlier.
Ahead of the big autumn flea market planned for October at the Stade Maurel, the Dracénie town holds a first hunting date this same weekend of 12-13 September, in the heart of Var wine country. Aups, the truffle capital of the Var and home to a Thursday-morning winter truffle market, gathers its regional dealers at Place de la Mairie for its Sunday flea market, amid busy shops, medieval heritage and the gates of the Canjuers plateau.
Three more Var dates close out the month. The autumn flea market in Bargemon slips some twenty private sellers into the cobbled lanes of this hilltop medieval village, among fountains and waterfalls, far from the big commercial fairs.
Two more dates follow on the coast.
Carqueiranne holds its monthly flea market at Place de la République, between the harbour and the coves. Private sellers and a few professional dealers set out bric-a-brac, crockery, clothes, toys and small furniture. Le Pradet resumes its own after the summer break, around Place de l'Office du Tourisme and Place Paul-Flamenq, for an autumn flea market run by the local police.
