Dinard and its Halles esplanade
The All Saints weekend falls on a first Sunday of the month, and the Dinard monthly flea market takes over the Halles esplanade, in the Emerald Coast seaside resort. More than 50 professional dealers lay out their goods from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., with free entry.
Period furniture, crockery, toys, linen, jewellery, paintings.
The stalls draw seasoned hunters and strollers looking for finds alike. The esplanade faces the covered market, a short walk from the shopping streets and the seafront. Visitors come on foot from the town centre, and several car parks are nearby. The market returns every first Sunday of the month, all year round.
From Finistère to central Brittany, the first Sunday
In Saint-Yvi, about fifteen kilometres east of Quimper, the Brockenstock site, a village of dealers, opens on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Le Hangar association gathers professionals from all over Brittany, under cover and in the open air: furniture, antique crockery, knick-knacks, paintings, old tools, vinyl records. A food truck, crêpes and a bar keep the day going. Entry is free, with parking and toilets on site.
Quimperlé, route de Moëlan, at the edge of town.
The Ristoir car boot sale lines up more than 20 open-air sellers, private individuals and dealers side by side: crockery, jewellery, vintage items, furniture, books. The Brocante Océane association runs it, entry is free and parking is on site.
In the Côtes-d'Armor, the Saint-Nicolas-du-Pélem car boot sale fills the rue Auguste-Le-Coënt from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., in central Brittany, on the road between Guingamp and Carhaix. The town's Artisans et Commerçants association runs it. Clothes, toys, crockery, books and knick-knacks change hands; a pitch costs 5 euros and entry is free.
