Flea markets and antique fairs across Nouvelle-Aquitaine this weekend, September 26-27, 2026: the flea market in Neuvicq-le-Château gathers 200 to 300 vendors, with the street sale in Montendre and the US Tyrosse market in Saint-Vincent-de-Tyrosse.
Neuvicq-le-Château opens the weekend on September 27, between the château square and the old fairground. The flea market there takes over three sites in the village from 6:30am to 6pm. Two hundred to three hundred vendors spread out, the same weekend as the street sale in Montendre and the US Tyrosse flea market in Saint-Vincent-de-Tyrosse.
The Neuvicq-le-Château Flea Market
Sunday, September 27, 2026 (09/27/2026). Neuvicq-le-Château, a small town in Charente-Maritime, hosts one of the standout events of the back-to-school season in the Saintonge area.
From 6:30am, the flea market takes over three sites in the village at once: the château square, the church square and the old fairground. Between 200 and 300 vendors spread out until 6pm.
The site takes its name from the château overlooking the village, open for visits during the event. Food vendors set up on site throughout the day for sellers and buyers alike.
Entry stays free across all three sites. Between village lanes, the church square and the château grounds, the market spreads across the whole village rather than a single square.
The Rest of the Weekend
In the Landes, the US Tyrosse Athlétisme car boot sale gathers close to 400 vendors under the shelter of the Pôle Rugby, run by the local athletics club along the Roman road in Saint-Vincent-de-Tyrosse, drawing thousands of visitors. In Mézos, the flea market lines up live music from the band Pépé dans les orties, organic ice cream and food from Mooinrise of Mimizan. Léon closes its season with its autumn flea market, true to its spring edition: professional dealers on the even side and locals on the odd side of Boulevard Voltaire.
In Dordogne, La Roque-Gageac, ranked among the most beautiful villages of France, holds its flea market at the foot of a cliff every year in late September, along the Dordogne river, run by the Saint-Thomas twinning committee, with food and drinks on site. In Creysse, the Club Stella Section Gym of Bergerac runs its own every year in late September, from 8am to 5pm at the Château du Roc gym, with up to 80 vendors at 3 € per linear metre, free entry, food and drinks on site. The professional antique fair in Eymet, run by Didier Gallinato, sets out antiques, furniture, art objects, trinkets and curiosities on Place Gambetta from 8am to 5pm, in this medieval bastide town of the Périgord pourpre, open to professional dealers only.
In Montendre, the back-to-school street sale and flea market of Haute Saintonge runs over two days through the town center streets, with a raffle and food stalls. Châteauponsac marks the feast of Saint Michael with a flea market on Place de la République, run by the local events committee, on the heights above the Gartempe river, preceded Saturday evening by a beer festival. In Gironde, the Saint-Michel-de-Fronsac flea market sets up among vineyards and hillsides, in the village at the heart of the Canon-Fronsac wine appellation, with drinks and free entry on site.
