On September 19 and 20, 2026, flea markets and antique fairs across Normandy center on the street sale in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, more than 300 vendors, and the Bourg-Achard autumn fair in the Eure.

Saturday morning, in downtown Cherbourg.

The street sale takes over downtown for two days, in the Cotentin's county town, and this weekend of September 19 and 20, 2026 concentrates most of Normandy's flea markets and antique fairs around it and around the Bourg-Achard autumn fair in the Eure. Two days, September 19 and 20.

More than 300 vendors in the streets of Cherbourg

The Cherbourg-en-Cotentin street sale spreads through downtown streets and squares on September 19 and 20 (19-20/09), with more than three hundred vendors setting up over the two days, professionals and private sellers side by side. It remains the city's largest flea market event.

Three hundred vendors, one single weekend. That is the number the city posts every year for this back-to-school street sale, the highest on the whole Cotentin flea market calendar for a single weekend.

Cherbourg, a maritime county town, faces the English Channel. The city stays one of the largest in western Normandy, and its late-September street sale closes out the summer season in the Cotentin before autumn sets in.

Shopping streets and downtown squares turn, for one weekend, into a long trail of secondhand stalls open to everyone, bargain hunters and casual strollers alike, following a pattern the city repeats every year at the same time. Barely a district goes untouched.

They spend hours there, between stalls set up right on the pavement, the usual shop windows and terraces that stay busy all weekend, in an atmosphere that nothing else in the region matches for the number of vendors gathered across an entire city center. And that, for a whole weekend.

From the Cotentin to the Eure valley

In the Eure, the Bourg-Achard Bourrette fair holds its big autumn fair of the Roumois over both days, blending flea market, antiques and local festivities near Rouen, in this village of the Norman Pays d'Ouche. Local tradition calls it centuries old. In Pinterville, further along the Eure valley, the Pinterville Retro Show mixes a classic car boot sale with vintage vehicles, on Sunday, drawing flea market regulars and vintage car enthusiasts alike, in this town near Louviers.

In the Manche, the 40th Foire aux Cro没tes flea market brings together 62 artists and dealers in the courtyard of the Saint-L么 national stud farm, on Sunday, a cultural gathering of the Manche county town. The local Rotary Club organizes it. In La Haye-Pesnel, between Granville and Avranches, the car boot sale marks its 20th edition with more than 300 vendors, a popular meeting point for bargain hunters in the bocage of southern Manche, organized by the Zon'Arts association.

In Touques, near Deauville, the monthly flea market fills Place Lemercier every third Sunday of the month, run by the Touques en F锚te association and the town of Touques, a stop for regulars of the C么te Fleurie. Between Deauville and Villers-sur-Mer. The Saint-Martin car boot sale, in Cond茅-en-Normandie, run by the Association Animations Saint-Martin, gathers around 200 private sellers the same day, open only to non-professionals, among household items, clothes, toys, books and knick-knacks, along Rue Saint-Martin and the streets around it.

In the Orne, the Saint Michael's festival car boot sale in Juvigny-Val-d'Andaine mixes a p茅tanque contest on Saturday with a car boot sale on Sunday, alongside vintage cars, fairground rides, wooden games and a brass band parade. On the football field and Place Saint-Michel. In Rouen, the Place Saint-Marc flea market runs as it does every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, among vintage furniture, retro clothing, vinyl records, antique jewelry and knick-knacks, favored by local regulars and passing visitors alike.

In Juvigny-Val-d'Andaine, the roast goose tradition carries on in the village restaurants all weekend.
