Annual car boot sale of rue Saint-Martin in Condé-en-Normandie
Every year in June, rue Saint-Martin in Condé-en-Normandie transforms into a huge open-air car boot sale. Organized by the Association Animations Saint-Martin, this event has become one of the unmissable gatherings in the town, attracting bargain hunters and strollers in this historic district of the former Condé-sur-Noireau.
Approximately 200 private exhibitors set up along rue Saint-Martin and in the adjacent streets. Professionals are not allowed, which guarantees the authenticity and friendliness typical of neighborhood car boot sales. The stalls offer an eclectic assortment of everyday items: clothes, toys, books, dishes, trinkets, small furniture, and curiosities of all kinds.
Registration is done in 3-meter linear modules at a rate of 5 euros. Exhibitors can book spaces of 3, 6, 9, or 12 meters according to their needs. Registration and payment must be submitted before May 31st at the bar Le Centre or the bakery Bruno. Exhibitors access the site from 5:30 am, while visitors are welcomed from 7 am.
Condé-en-Normandie, a new municipality created in 2016 by the merger of Condé-sur-Noireau and several neighboring towns, is nestled at the confluence of the Noireau and the Druance, in the Norman bocage. The town has a rich industrial heritage linked to textiles and offers a green setting conducive to walks. The Saint-Martin quarter car boot sale perpetuates a tradition of local entertainment dear to the inhabitants of this historic district.
