Annual car boot sale combined with the back-to-school Associations Forum
Every September, the Breux-Jouy Fêtes Committee and the Town Hall organise their annual car boot sale combined with the back-to-school Associations Forum. In 2026, the event takes place on Sunday 6 September, 8am to 5pm. Around 50 to 80 private sellers. Free entry. Rural Hurepoix village in Essonne.
Every first Sunday of September, Breux-Jouy comes alive for its annual car boot sale, combined with the traditional back-to-school Associations Forum. Jointly organised by the Fêtes Committee and the Town Hall, this double event perfectly illustrates the associative vitality of this small Hurepoix village. Residents come both to browse the car boot stands and to discover local associations recruiting new members for the season.
Breux-Jouy is a rural community of around 1,800 inhabitants in the Essonne Hurepoix. Its village character is well preserved: millstone houses, old farms, a Romanesque church and open agricultural plateau landscapes characterise this rural settlement. The town lies close to Saint-Yon and Ollainville in a peaceful stretch of countryside between Montlhéry and Arpajon.
