Lys-lez-Lannoy holds the biggest sale announced in the region that weekend, on 29 August. Flea markets and antique fairs run across Hauts-de-France on 29-30 August 2026, from the Lille conurbation to the Picardy plain: over 900 stalls at the Fresnoy, some 250 on Place Foch in Tourcoing, a two-day street sale in Calais. Anyone weighing up what's on this weekend in the north of France has ten addresses to work through.
Over 900 stalls at the Fresnoy fair
On Saturday 29 August, the Fresnoy flea market spreads through Rue du Fresnoy, Rue de Toufflers and Rue de Fénelon in Lys-lez-Lannoy with more than 900 stalls. The figure makes it one of the largest brocantes in the Lille metropolitan area, and no other date in the region announces anything close over these two days.

The Comité du Fresnoy rebuilds the fair every late August as part of the Festivités du Fresnoy, one of the town's major events, and the sale long ago outgrew the district that gave it its name.
The gap with the rest of the weekend tells its own story. The Flocon sale in Tourcoing announces around 250 sellers; Saulzoir, in the Cambrésis, expects 100 to 200; several village sales settle at around fifty stalls.

Tourcoing, Calais, Cassel and Aire-sur-la-Lys
Tourcoing hunts for bargains twice. On Saturday the Phalempins car boot sale, run by the Phalempins Solidarité association, fills the square of the same name in a historic quarter of the third-largest city in Hauts-de-France; on Sunday the Floconneux take over Place Foch and Rue Albert Calmette with the Flocon street sale, around 250 sellers from 9am to 3pm.
In the Cambrésis, Saulzoir's football club stages its Estivales flea market on Saturday along Rue Victor Hugo, Rue Gambetta and Rue Jules Verne: 100 to 200 stalls, entertainment, an evening concert, and proceeds going back to the club.
Calais trades on both days.
On Saturday and Sunday, the Molien street sale of the Petit Courgain takes over Rue Mollien and the historic quarter of fishermen and lacemakers, hundreds of stalls mixing secondhand goods, clothes and bric-a-brac.
Sunday adds two listed backdrops. The Vandamme district flea market is held in the streets of Cassel, voted France's favourite village in 2018 and perched 176 metres up at the highest point of French Flanders, with views over the plains all the way to the North Sea; in Aire-sur-la-Lys, the grande brocante vide-grenier mixes professional dealers and household sellers on Place Notre-Dame and Place d'Armes, between a UNESCO-listed belfry and a Gothic collegiate church.
