Flea markets and antique fairs across France on 29-30 August 2026: more than 900 stalls at the Fresnoy fair on the edge of Lille

Flea markets and antique fairs fill France on 29-30 August 2026: more than 900 stalls at the Fresnoy fair near Lille, a five-day summer sale in Porto-Vecchio and a car boot sale with its own craft beer market in Selongey.

Flea markets and antique fairs fill France on 29-30 August 2026: more than 900 stalls at the Fresnoy fair near Lille, a five-day summer sale in Porto-Vecchio and a car boot sale with its own craft beer market in Selongey.

Saturday morning, across three streets of Lys-lez-Lannoy.

That is where the Comité du Fresnoy stages its giant flea market on 29 August, on the edge of Lille.

Flea markets and antique fairs fill France this weekend of 29-30 August 2026: more than 900 stalls at Le Fresnoy, five days of summer sales in Porto-Vecchio and, in Selongey, a craft beer market set in the middle of the car boot sale.

More than 900 stalls in the streets of Le Fresnoy

On Saturday 29/08/2026, the Fresnoy flea market fills the rues du Fresnoy, de Toufflers and de Fénelon in Lys-lez-Lannoy. The Comité du Fresnoy runs it as part of the Festivités du Fresnoy, one of the town's major events, and it ranks among the biggest flea markets of the Lille metropolitan area.

More than 900 stalls, three streets, a single day.

The fair celebrated its 40th edition in 2025. It holds the ground on Saturday alone, while most of the weekend's sales fall on Sunday: Selongey, Quévert, Paimbœuf and Bourges all trade on the 30th.

No other sale this weekend comes close to that volume: Paimbœuf lines up around 150 sellers on Sunday, Quévert announces more than 120, Selongey 80. Le Fresnoy gathers six times more than the largest of the three, and more than all of them added together, twice over.

Nine more sales, from Montmartre to Porto-Vecchio

On Sunday the 30th, three villages hold their annual gathering. In Selongey, in Côte-d'Or, the annual car boot sale pairs its 80 or so stalls with a market of local brewers, craft beers, snails and honey included. The village fête committee of Bras-sur-Meuse, 690 inhabitants six kilometres from Verdun, sets up its tables on the town hall square and through the village streets, from 7am to 5pm. On the edge of Dinan, the Quévert car boot sale brings more than 120 sellers onto the school car park, organised by the HC Dinan-Quévert handball club.

Two gatherings play the specialist card. In Bourges, Broc'Land Geek spreads retro consoles, manga, figurines and vintage toys over the 2,000 square metres of the Halle au Blé on Sunday. In Laragne-Montéglin, in the Hautes-Alpes, the Potes au Casque car boot sale mixes bargain hunting, a display of classic motorbikes and a vintage pin-up contest, from 7am to 5pm.

On the Loire estuary, the Amicale Laïque sale in Paimbœuf lines up around 150 stalls on Sunday, along boulevard Dumesnildot and around the old railway station of this port town. In Corsica, the grande braderie of Porto-Vecchio runs from 27 to 31 August: the town centre shops, gathered in the Andemu Portivechju association, put their goods out on the pavement and clear the end of the season.

Regulars need no date.

In Montmartre, the professional brocante of Place des Abbesses trades both days from 8am to 7pm, antique furniture, lighting and paintings at the foot of the Guimard métro entrance. In Pamiers, the Sunday morning brocante sets some sixty stalls on the central square of the Ariège prefecture town.

In Bras-sur-Meuse, entry and pitches are free, with a deposit cheque asked of sellers from outside the village.
