The spring car boot sale of the village of Cressia, between Revermont and the first Jura plateau
The village of Cressia, nestled in the Revermont region of Jura at an altitude of 450 meters, hosts a car boot sale every spring dedicated to local heritage. The event, named Ôpatrimoine, invites visitors to hunt for treasures while discovering the architectural and landscape riches of this small village of 250 inhabitants.
Private sellers set up their stalls in the village center, amidst the typical limestone houses of the Revermont. You'll find the usual car boot sale items: old crockery, trinkets, books, clothes, toys, and small furniture. The atmosphere is that of an authentic country car boot sale, far from the hustle and bustle of large urban street sales.
Located 17 kilometers southwest of Lons-le-Saunier, Cressia is surrounded by the communes of Rosay, Augisey, and Pimorin. This hilly area of the Revermont, the western edge of the Jura, is characterized by its hills covered with vineyards and pastures. The commune covers 15 km² and offers beautiful panoramas of the Bresse plain.
The name Ôpatrimoine reflects the organizers' desire to link this flea market event to the promotion of local heritage. Visitors are invited to discover the village church, fountains, and old buildings while browsing the car boot sale stalls. An original approach that gives this event a unique character.
