Garage sale, pétanque and music at the Navel of the World
Every year in June, the village of Pougné-Hérisson transforms into a place of celebration and bargain hunting with its triple event combining a garage sale, pétanque competition and music festival. Organised by the Family's Show association, this exceptional day is one of the highlights of village life for this commune of 360 inhabitants that stands out for its unique cultural identity: it has proclaimed itself the Navel of the World.
The garage sale opens at 6am, allowing the earliest bargain hunters to find the best deals. Private and professional sellers offer bric-a-brac, toys, clothing, books, crockery and various objects at low prices. The exhibitor rate of 2 euros per linear metre makes the event accessible to all.
