Annual car boot sale of Iffendic, a town at the gates of Brocéliande in Ille-et-Vilaine
Each year, the municipality of Iffendic (35750) organizes a car boot sale that attracts bargain hunters from the Pays de Brocéliande and the west of Rennes. Private sellers set up their stalls in the town center, offering a wide range of second-hand items: clothes, toys, books, crockery, trinkets, tools, decorative objects, and various curiosities. The atmosphere is family-friendly and relaxed, conducive to good deals and unexpected discoveries.
Iffendic is a municipality of about 4,500 inhabitants located west of Rennes, at the gates of the mythical Brocéliande forest (Paimpont forest). The town is bordered by the Paimpont pond and offers an exceptional natural setting between hedgerows and forest. Iffendic is part of the community of communes of Montfort-sur-Meu and benefits from a dynamic associative life. The local heritage includes the Saint-Gilles church and numerous hiking trails leading to the legendary sites of Brocéliande.
The car boot sale is held in May, an ideal time to enjoy the green setting of Iffendic. Visitors can combine their bargain hunting day with a walk in the Brocéliande forest or along the Paimpont pond, just a few minutes away by car. Admission is free and parking is easy in the town center.
From Rennes, take the N24 towards Lorient, exit Montfort-sur-Meu then D61 towards Iffendic (approximately 35 km, 35 min).
