The autumn boot sale at the heart of the great apple festival in Gâtine
Secondigny, a small town in the heart of the Parthenay Gâtine, hosts its famous Pomm'Expo each autumn, an unmissable event dedicated to apples in all their forms. The boot sale, integrated into this village celebration, allows bargain hunters to browse stalls set up in the village centre while enjoying the entertainment: live apple pressing, juice and cider tastings, local producers' market and exhibitions.
The boot sale spreads through the streets of Secondigny village centre, amidst the Gâtine bocage countryside. Between 50 and 100 exhibitors, mainly private individuals, offer their everyday items: toys, books, crockery, clothing, ornaments and small furniture. The atmosphere is that of an authentic village festival, far from the bustle of large urban events.
Secondigny is a Gâtine commune famous for its orchards and apple production. Pomm'Expo, which has been running for many years, has become the annual gathering for all who appreciate local produce, craftsmanship and rural conviviality. The boot sale fits perfectly into this event, adding a flea market dimension to the festivities.
The boot sale is open from 7:30am to 6pm with free entry for visitors. On-site catering is provided by local associations. Parking is available around the village centre.
