A Sunday of second-hand fashion facing the gulf
As the season slows and mild autumn settles on the Riviera, Sainte-Maxime offers an original vide-dressing in place of the usual flea market. Organised by the Sainte-Maxime Tourist Office, it takes place on Sunday 4 October 2026, 11am to 6pm, on Promenade Aymeric Simon-Lorière — the Gulf's major autumn fashion event.
The spirit is resolutely modern: a vide-dressing, not a classic flea market, focused on clothes, accessories and jewellery, tied to responsible consumption. Sellers are mostly private, clearing wardrobes after summer with often little-worn or even new pieces.
The vide-dressing rides a deep trend: second-hand fashion, driven by anti-waste laws and young environmentally minded shoppers. Coastal towns increasingly prefer this focused format to generalist flea markets.
The renovated Promenade Simon-Lorière is a perfect fashion venue: wide, bright, lined with terraces and the main beach. Sellers line the promenade; hunters can combine trying on, coffee and strolls.
Via the D559 and Sainte-Maxime town centre. Paid parking nearby.
Sunday 4 October 2026, 11am to 6pm.
Mostly private sellers. Booking through Sainte-Maxime Tourist Office.
Cafés, restaurants, restrooms on the promenade. Fitting rooms not guaranteed.
