The Grande Brocante de la Madeleine: treasure hunting by the Allier

Every first Sunday of June, the allée des Soupirs in Moulins hosts the Grande Brocante de la Madeleine, one of the most popular events for treasure hunters in the prefecture of Allier. Organized by the association La Madeleine Moulins Rive Gauche, this event takes over the shaded banks of the Allier river for a whole day of flea market and car boot sale.

A bucolic and shaded setting

The allée des Soupirs, a tree-lined promenade along the banks of the Allier, offers a particularly pleasant setting for a flea market. Stalls stretch out under the foliage of the large trees bordering the river, protecting treasure hunters and exhibitors from the early summer sun. This green setting, a stone's throw from the historic center of Moulins and its famous cathedral, makes this flea market a moment as pleasant for a stroll as for treasure hunting.

The Madeleine flea market brings together professional dealers and individuals in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. You can find antique furniture, crockery, trinkets, books, vinyl records, vintage clothing, and objects of all kinds. The pitch per linear meter remains very affordable at 3 euros, allowing a large number of sellers to participate and enriching the diversity of the offer.
