The Thouars Sewing Flea Market: Where Textile Passion Takes Centre Stage

For five editions now, the Sewing Flea Market and Creative Hobbies event in Thouars has established itself as an unmissable gathering for enthusiasts of sewing, embroidery, macramé, scrapbooking and textile arts in northern Deux-Sèvres. Organised by the Les Petites Mains 79 association, this friendly event attracts hobbyists from across the department and beyond.

Two Spaces, Two Complementary Worlds

The event's originality lies in its dual offering: on one side, the sewing flea market where individuals and professionals sell new or second-hand supplies — fabrics, patterns, haberdashery, threads, buttons, lace, sewing machines and specialist books. On the other, the artisans' fair, a space reserved for independent craftspeople showcasing and selling their original handmade creations: jewellery, accessories, clothing, decorative items and unique textile articles.

The Vrines Community Hall: A Fitting Venue

The event takes place at the Vrines community hall, 63 Rue du Stade in Sainte-Radegonde, an associated commune of Thouars. This spacious, covered venue comfortably accommodates exhibitors and visitors regardless of the weather.
