Prats-de-Mollo, fortified city and thermal spa

Prats-de-Mollo-la-Preste, nestled in the heart of the Haut-Vallespir, is one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France. This millennial city founded in 982 was attached to France in 1659 by the Treaty of the Pyrenees and marked by the great works of Vauban: the Fort Lagarde, whose construction began in 1677, proudly dominates the village. The bastioned ramparts, intended to monitor the Franco-Spanish border, still bear witness to this military history. The commune also houses the La Preste thermal spa, whose waters have been renowned since the 14th century.

Organized in February, this fair is part of the dynamic community life of Prats-de-Mollo.
