Autumn flea market in an authentic Upper Vallespir village
Every year in October, the small village of Corsavy organizes its traditional autumn flea market. Nestled at 800 meters altitude in the Upper Vallespir, halfway between Arles-sur-Tech and the Canigó massif, Corsavy offers an exceptional setting for an authentic and refreshing day of bargain hunting. The steep narrow streets of the village and the main square come alive to welcome individuals and visitors.
The residents of Corsavy, Saint-Marsal, Montferrer, and the surrounding villages of Upper Vallespir meet for this village gathering dedicated to conviviality. The stalls offer everyday objects, dishes, old linen, toys, books, clothing, tools, and sometimes beautiful antique pieces from the village houses. Amateur bargain hunters appreciate the authenticity of this small flea market where good deals rub shoulders with unusual finds.
Corsavy is a village of character located overlooking the Tech valley, in the upper part of Vallespir. Its architectural heritage, its schist houses, its narrow streets, and its medieval church make it one of the most authentic villages in the Pyrénées-Orientales. The communal territory, which extends to the Batère mines, is part of the Pyrénées Catalanes Regional Natural Park. Coming to the Corsavy flea market is also an opportunity to discover this little-known and preserved corner of French Catalonia, between chestnut groves and panoramas of Canigó.
