Car boot sale organized by the World Dance and Music Festival Committee in the Vallespir thermal spa town
The World Dance and Music Festival Committee, organizer of the famous international folk festival in Amélie-les-Bains-Palalda, holds its annual car boot sale on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 8 am to 6 pm. This spring event helps raise funds to finance the summer edition of the festival, which is in its 82nd edition. Amélie-les-Bains, with 3,553 inhabitants, is France's 4th thermal and climatic spa town and the 1st in the Pyrenees, nestled in the heart of the Vallespir along the Tech and Mondony rivers.
A particularly appreciated feature: the tables are provided by the Committee to exhibitors, who pay 10 euros for a 5-meter pitch. This all-inclusive formula simplifies setup and attracts local private individuals and small antique dealers each year. Exhibitors offer bric-a-brac, clothes, dishes, books, toys and various trinkets.
The World Dance and Music Festival, organized by the same committee for over 80 years, is an emblematic event of Amélie-les-Bains. Affiliated with CIOFF (International Council of Folklore Festivals Organizations), it welcomes folk troupes from around the world each August for four days of shows, parades and cultural encounters.
