Rockabilly-style Labour Day in the heart of the Comtat Venaissin
Malemort-du-Comtat is a Comtat Venaissin village between Carpentras and the foothills of Mont Ventoux, surrounded by cherry and olive orchards. Each 1 May, thanks to its iconic 50's R'n'R Nostalgia association, the Labour Day flea market takes on a distinct retro flavour.
About 60 exhibitors set up on the sloping meadow below the town hall and along avenue du Docteur Tondut, mostly private sellers with a few small rockabilly-themed professionals.
Period music fills the site, vinyl stands, vintage accessories, rockabilly tees and golden-age advertising. One of the few Vaucluse flea markets with such a clear retro identity.
Early May is peak beauty: cherry and olive trees in bloom, Ventoux AOC vines awakening, perfect for a side trip to Venasque, Méthamis or Mormoiron.
Meadow below the town hall and avenue du Docteur Tondut, 84570 Malemort-du-Comtat.
From Carpentras: D1 to Mazan then D70 (15 km). From Mormoiron: D942 then D70 (8 km). On-site parking.
Friday 1 May 2026, morning to midday.
Around 60, mostly private. Registration with 50's R'n'R Nostalgia.
