About Venasque Flea Market
A flea market in a classified village
Few flea markets in France can boast such a spectacular setting as Venasque's. Classified among The Most Beautiful Villages of France, this village perched on a rocky spur at the foot of Mont Ventoux hosts its June communal flea market every year, organized by the Festivals Committee. For 2026, the date is Sunday 1 June.
Remarkable medieval heritage
Venasque is one of the region's oldest villages: its name gave its own to the Comtat Venaissin, a former papal state. The 6th-century Merovingian baptistery is one of France's oldest Christian buildings.
A heritage bargain-hunting atmosphere
Stalls set up in the lanes and small squares of the historic centre. Traditional bric-a-brac sits alongside objects tied to the village's rural and artisanal history: antique pottery, wooden objects and textiles.
Venasque, land of cherries and vines
The village is famous for its cherries, emblematic fruit of the Comtat Venaissin. In June, the cherry season is in full swing.
Venasque Flea Market — edition 2026

At the time of our editorial verification (May 2026), we found no public source (organizer, Venasque town hall, flea market aggregators, local press) announcing a 2026 edition of this garage sale on June 1st, 2026. The sources consulted place this garage sale not in June but in mid-August, as part of the village's Fête Votive. If you are the organizer and this flea market is indeed taking place, please do not hesitate to inform us via the event modification form.
The Venasque garage sale is organized by the Comité des Fêtes de Venasque in the village center, classified among the Most Beautiful Villages of France, at the foot of the Ventoux. Open to all (individuals and bargain hunters alike), it traditionally took place on Sunday mornings, from 9 AM to 1 PM, in the heart of the village, as part of the mid-August Fête Votive (the last documented edition was held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, with pitches at €5 per stand).
We have not been able to confirm an edition in 2026 on the announced date of June 1st. Before traveling, we advise you to check with the Venasque town hall or the Comité des Fêtes to confirm that a new edition is indeed scheduled and on what date.
