Bargain hunting in the heart of the Comtat Venaissin
In early July, the village of Saint-Didier, in the Comtat Venaissin between Carpentras, Pernes-les-Fontaines and the foothills of Mont Ventoux, hosts an early-summer flea market. Sunday 5 July 2026 for a day of village bargain hunting among Provençal markets and Comtat vineyards.
The Vauclusian Saint-Didier (not to be confused with namesakes elsewhere in France) is a village of about 2,200 inhabitants 10 km from Carpentras. Its central fountain, fortified church and plane trees make it a lively market town.
Sunday 5 July 2026: just after the end of the school year, long days, tourists in the Comtat. Perfect time to unpack accumulated items. Stalls run from early morning until late afternoon.
Antique Provençal linen (boutis, nappes), regional tableware, small furniture, tools, books, toys, clothing, country bric-a-brac from Comtat life.
Pernes-les-Fontaines (5 km, 41 fountains), L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (12 km, permanent antiques market), Carpentras (10 km). Ventoux AOC wine route passes nearby.
The Saint-Didier flea market will take place on Sunday 5 July 2026 in the village centre, at the heart of the Comtat Venaissin. An early-summer event gathering private sellers in a Provençal village setting. Free admission.
