The major September attic fair along the D156 road
In western Yvelines, villages have developed their flea market formats according to their geographical particularities. At La Queue-les-Yvelines, the September Attic Fair has found an original setting along the D156 road between the village and the bridge. This roadside format allows a large number of exhibitors over a great length.
The early September date, just after the school return, makes it particularly well-placed in the calendar. Families enjoy the last lovely Indian summer days to do their back-to-school shopping differently.
The audience is mainly local: residents of La Queue-les-Yvelines, neighbouring communes, and bargain hunters familiar with the good reputation of Houdan country rural fairs.
The N12, the historic Paris-Brest route, crosses La Queue-les-Yvelines. The D156 is a more modest road.
A commune of about 2,600 residents, a rural village that has kept its authentic character.
