The annual flea market on rue Nationale in La Queue-les-Yvelines
The La Queue-les-Yvelines flea market held on rue Nationale is an early summer event organised by the village festival committee. Set up on the village's main thoroughfare, it gathers private sellers and residents for a friendly day of browsing, in a neighbourly festival atmosphere typical of rural Houdan country flea markets.
As its name indicates, La Queue-les-Yvelines takes its original name from its position along a historic road. Rue Nationale is the village version of the N12 that has crossed the commune for centuries. Holding its annual flea market on this axis anchors the event in the village's historic identity.
The 21 June date is symbolic: it coincides with the summer solstice. It's an ideal date for a flea market: sunshine, long days, residents wanting to clean out before holidays.
Exhibitors are mostly residents of La Queue-les-Yvelines and neighbouring communes. You'll find the usual village flea market range.
Rue Nationale concentrates most shops, services and homes. Taking it over brings people into the village and boosts local business for the day.
Just over an hour from Paris via the N12, La Queue-les-Yvelines offers the charm of an authentic village.
The rue Nationale flea market will be held on Sunday 21 June 2026 in La Queue-les-Yvelines. Summer gathering organised by the festival committee on the village's main thoroughfare, on the summer solstice day. Free admission.
