For many years, Ascension Thursday has been synonymous with an exceptional day of treasure hunting in Devecey. The Football Club de Châtillon-Devecey, in partnership with local associations, organizes what has become one of the most important and popular car boot sales in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. Around 200 exhibitors set up around the Salle des Fêtes and in the adjacent streets, creating a festive and colorful open-air market.

The diversity of the stalls is one of the strengths of this Ascension car boot sale. Old and vintage items, clothing of all sizes, furniture and small pieces, old toys and board games, trinkets and decorations, tools and utensils, books and comics: the exhibitors, mainly individuals, offer items from their attics and cellars, guaranteeing a varied and often surprising selection. The earliest treasure hunters arrive at opening to grab the best pieces before the day's crowds.
