Car boot sale and craft market in the heart of Saintois lorrain
Courcelles, a charming village of about a hundred inhabitants nestled in Saintois, south of Meurthe-et-Moselle, organizes a car boot sale every spring, enhanced by a craft and country market. This original event combines traditional flea market finds with the discovery of local crafts and Lorraine's regional products.
Beyond the classic car boot sale where individuals empty their attics and offer clothes, toys, crockery, books, and various objects, the craft and country market invites local artisans and producers to present their creations and specialties. Jams, honeys, cheeses, cured meats, wood or clay crafts: so many flavors and know-how to discover over the course of a day.
Located about fifteen kilometers from Mirecourt and ten kilometers from the hill of Sion, a major Lorraine pilgrimage site, Courcelles offers a peaceful and green setting. The communal territory of 432 hectares consists half of meadows and one-fifth of forests, offering a preserved rural environment. This small village embodies the authenticity of the Lorraine countryside, far from the urban hustle and bustle.
The event attracts families from the surrounding area and flea market enthusiasts looking for bargains and authenticity. The relaxed atmosphere and the human scale of the market encourage exchanges between exhibitors and visitors. Refreshments and food are usually available on site to complete this rural day.
