Car boot sale, rural festival and flower farmer's market in the village of Vaudigny
The Vaudigny car boot sale, combined with a grand rural festival and a flower farmer's market, is held every May 8th in this tiny village of 77 inhabitants located between Mirecourt and Vézelise. Organized by the Intercommunal Festival Committee, this event brings together second-hand goods, local Lorraine products, and a seasonal flower market in one place. Exhibitor setup begins at 6 a.m., by prior reservation via check payable to the committee.
Every May 8th, the small village of Vaudigny hosts an original event that combines a car boot sale, a grand rural festival, and a flower farmer's market. Organized by the Intercommunal Festival Committee, this event is one of the highlights of local community life, attracting visitors from surrounding towns in an authentic rural setting.
Vaudigny is a commune of 77 inhabitants, located in the Saintois region, between Mirecourt and Vézelise, in the south of Meurthe-et-Moselle. This tiny village, nestled in a landscape of rolling hills and orchards, retains the authenticity of Lorraine rural villages. The town hall, at 2 rue de l'Ormée, is only open two half-days a week, testifying to the modest size of this charming commune.
The originality of this event lies in the presence of a farmer's market and flower market, which complements the traditional car boot sale. Local producers offer plants, seasonal flowers, vegetables, and local Lorraine products. This farmer's market attracts amateur gardeners and country lovers, who take advantage of the May 8th holiday to stock their gardens and vegetable patches.
The Intercommunal Festival Committee is the driving force behind this event. Active in several communes (Vaudigny, Xirocourt, Bralleville), it organizes festive events throughout the year: patron saint festivals, August 14th fireworks in Xirocourt, intergenerational meals, and New Year's Eve in Bralleville. The May 8th car boot sale in Vaudigny is one of its main spring events.
Exhibitor setup is possible from 6 a.m. onwards. Reservation is mandatory, with advance payment by check payable to the Vaudigny Festival Committee. Entry is free for visitors. A refreshment stand and food are available on site to accompany this day of rural celebration.
The Vaudigny car boot sale, rural festival, and flower farmer's market return on Friday, May 8th, 2026. Exhibitor setup from 6 a.m., reservation required.
