Grand Ascension flea market in Beaumont-la-Ronce, 400+ exhibitors over 3 km around the castle
The Ascension flea market in Beaumont-la-Ronce is a major event in the flea market calendar of Indre-et-Loire. Every Ascension Thursday, more than 400 exhibitors — professionals and individuals — set up along a route of over 3 kilometers around the castle of Beaumont-la-Ronce. The offer is considerable: antique furniture, earthenware, trinkets, tools, books, vinyl records, toys, linens, clothing, and a thousand curiosities. From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., bargain hunters explore this long ribbon of stalls in a rural and wooded setting, between the castle park and the village streets.
Beaumont-la-Ronce is a commune of about 1,200 inhabitants located north of Tours, in the Gâtinais tourangeau region. The village is dominated by its medieval and Renaissance castle, whose wooded park provides the natural setting for the flea market. The church, the old houses, and the hilly countryside give the village an authentic charm appreciated by visitors. For over 30 years, the Ascension flea market has been the pride of this small rural commune.
The Parents' Association D'Écol'ons Ensemble organizes this flea market for the benefit of the Beaumont-la-Ronce school. Volunteers provide refreshments, food, and entertainment throughout the day. Admission is free for visitors.
