Every year in August, the Figeac-Livernon aerodrome, located in the municipality of Durbans in Quercy, hosts the most impressive event in the Lot car boot sale calendar: the Grand Aerodrome Car Boot Sale, organized by the Quercy ULM Club. With 200 to 300 exhibitors spread across the vast spaces of the aeronautical platform and over 3,000 visitors expected, it is undoubtedly the largest car boot sale in the Lot department.

An extraordinary site: the aerodrome runway

The Figeac-Livernon aerodrome offers an absolutely unique setting for a car boot sale. The vast spaces of the platform can accommodate hundreds of exhibitors in remarkable conditions, with the possibility for participants to park their vehicle directly behind their stand. The aerodrome also has the necessary reception facilities for an event of this scale: parking, restrooms, catering. The runway and hangars create a resolutely original atmosphere that makes this atypical event charming.

Aviation and flea market: a unique combination

What fundamentally distinguishes the Grand Aerodrome Car Boot Sale from other events of its kind is its aeronautical context. The Quercy ULM Club organizes an exhibition of aircraft and autogyros alongside the flea market, allowing visitors to discover or rediscover light aircraft. ULM introductory flights are offered to enthusiasts, providing an unforgettable experience over the Quercy plateaus. In some years, regional ULM pilot gatherings accompany the event, further strengthening the aeronautical dimension.

Record numbers in Lot

The 2023 edition attracted 235 exhibitors and 3,300 visitors, confirming the event's benchmark status in Lot. The pitch is offered at €3 per meter, with the possibility of parking the vehicle behind the stand. Individuals and professionals mingle at the stalls, offering furniture, collectibles, clothing, books, tools, and all sorts of second-hand items. Entry is completely free for visitors, from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
