Car boot sale of the votive festival — Place Basse, Reyrevignes, July
There is no edition scheduled in 2026 for this event. This page remains accessible to archive the history of the manifestation and will be updated if a new edition is announced.
Every summer, on the occasion of the village's votive festival, Reyrevignes hosts its car boot sale on the Place Basse. This annual event is one of the highlights of life in this village in the Limargue, located 11 kilometers northwest of Figeac. The event brings together about fifty private sellers who offer second-hand items, clothing, books, trinkets, and various finds for the pleasure of bargain hunters and locals.
Reyrevignes is a charming village of 372 inhabitants, located on the edge of the Limargue, a region of hills and hedgerows that forms the transition between the limestone plateau and the green lands of the Ségala. Situated at the gateway to the Parc Naturel Régional des Causses du Quercy, the village is renowned for its prehistoric dolmens, particularly the dolmen du Champ de Cuzer, and its authentic landscapes. The Causse et des Lavoirs trail offers walkers a discovery walk of the local rural heritage.
The votive festival car boot sale takes place on the Place Basse in Reyrevignes, from approximately 7 am to 5 pm. Sellers, exclusively private individuals, set up at dawn to offer the contents of their attics: adult and children's clothing, crockery and tableware, light furniture, toys, books, tools, and objects of all kinds. Pitches are provided free of charge, up to 8 meters per seller, with vehicles removed from 8 am to leave the space clear for buyers.
The Reyrevignes votive festival would not be complete without its local flavors. From 8 am, traditional tripoux — a gastronomic specialty of Quercy and Aveyron, made from sheep offal — are offered to participants and visitors for an authentic tasting during the morning hunt for bargains. A drinks stand and snacks are available throughout the day for both sellers and visitors.
Access to the car boot sale is completely free for visitors. Reyrevignes is accessible from Figeac via the D13 towards Capdenac-Gare, then via the D86. Parking is available on the outskirts of the village. The event is part of the votive festival that enlivens the village during the weekend, with additional activities for the residents.
