Bargain hunting by the sea on the Rambla in Les Lecques
Run by Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer town hall, the Rambla flea market takes place on the seafront promenade of the same name, a stone's throw from Les Lecques beach. Private sellers only, this spring event draws hunters and families in a quintessentially Provençal seaside atmosphere of palms, umbrella pines and fine sand.
Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer has one of the loveliest waterfront promenades in the Var: the Rambla, a shaded esplanade bordering the Les Lecques leisure area opposite the long sandy beach. Halfway between Bandol and La Ciotat, this privileged setting hosts the town's spring flea market. Vendors, strictly private individuals from Saint-Cyr and neighbouring villages, set up at 9am and pack down by 2pm, leaving the rest of the day to beachgoers.
The Rambla flea market retains its family character: household bric-a-brac, Provençal crockery, table linen, paperbacks, outgrown toys, small furniture, trinkets, second-hand clothing, beach gear and holiday souvenirs. Many regulars come specifically to hunt for items evoking old Provence — santons, slip-glazed ware, jugs, vintage travel guides.
Saint-Cyr town hall handles registrations, placement, safety and clean-up. In case of bad weather, the sale is postponed by a week, usually to the following Sunday. The municipal police can be reached on +33 4 94 26 73 73.
After browsing, many visitors linger over a coffee on the Lecques harbour terrace, enjoy an early swim or stroll to the Tauroentum Museum, a Gallo-Roman site facing the sea. More active ones continue along the corniche des Crêtes towards La Ciotat or Bandol.
2026 edition held on Sunday 12 April on the Rambla promenade, 9am to 2pm. Local sellers and early-season holidaymakers met by the sea for the first major municipal flea market of the year. The town hall had set aside Sunday 19 April as a rain date, unused thanks to a fine Provençal day.
On Sunday 12 April 2026, the promenade de la Rambla welcomed Saint-Cyr's sellers and bargain hunters as it does every spring. Pitches allocated by the town hall stretched along the entire Les Lecques leisure area, only metres from the main beach.
Fine weather, steady crowds, cheerful atmosphere: the traditional recipe worked, and the 19 April rain date was not needed. The next edition is already expected in 2027.
