A bargain-hunting day in the heart of the village
The Corbarieu flea market sets up its stalls in the heart of the village, in this peaceful Tarn-et-Garonne commune between Montauban and Montbeton. A Sunday dedicated to popular bargain hunting, where local residents and enthusiasts from the surrounding area offer furniture, clothing, toys and bric-à-brac in an authentic, friendly atmosphere.
Nestled just a few kilometres from Montauban, on the road down to Montbeton and Bressols, the village of Corbarieu opens up its centre for a day to host its traditional flea market. This spring event, organised by the active community life of the village, benefits from a peaceful setting: shaded lanes, the village square and the area around the town hall become the arteries of an open-air bargain hunt.
The event attracts private vendors from Corbarieu but also from neighbouring communes such as Lacourt-Saint-Pierre, Reyniès and Labastide-Saint-Pierre. Far from the crowds of large urban antique fairs, people come for the quiet pleasure of browsing at their own pace, exchanging a few words with sellers and going home with finds at very affordable prices.
The offering is typical of a rural flea market in Tarn-et-Garonne: adult and children's clothing, crockery and tableware, toys and childcare items, books, vinyl records and comic books, small furniture, garden tools, decorative objects, family knick-knacks. Some amateur dealers also offer small vintage pieces, old postcards or collectibles.
All the spirit of Tarn valley events is there: families, retirees, second-hand enthusiasts and regulars who would not miss the annual rendezvous for anything. A refreshment stand and food point are usually set up by volunteers, making it possible to extend the morning on the spot with a coffee, a sandwich or a grilled lunch.
As with all rural flea markets, the essentials happen in the first hours: arrive at opening for the best pieces. Bring cash and small change, a sturdy bag and comfortable shoes to walk through the village. Parking is free around the village, and the walk can be extended along the agricultural paths of the surrounding Quercy.
The Corbarieu flea market returns on Sunday, April 26, 2026 in the village centre. Private vendors and bargain hunters are expected from 8 AM for a full day of open-air bargain hunting in a typical Tarn-et-Garonne village atmosphere. On-site refreshments and food throughout the day.
Corbarieu is about 10 minutes south of Montauban via the D928 road. Free parking in the village and around the centre.
Vendors set up early in the morning, public welcomed from 8 AM until late afternoon.
Flea market mainly open to private sellers. Moderate stand fee, to be confirmed with the organisers.
Refreshments and food on site, provided by volunteers from the organising association.
