Troc et Puces of the APE of the City Center Schools of Concarneau

The Parents' Association (APE) of the city center schools of Concarneau organizes its Troc et Puces every year at the Criée parking lot, quai Carnot. This popular event allows individuals to offer clothes, toys, books, tableware, and all sorts of items for sale, while the proceeds from the organization go to the APE's funds to finance educational projects for the benefit of students in the city center's nursery and primary schools.

Registration is mandatory for exhibitors. Prices are affordable: €10 for a 2.20-meter table, or €4 per linear meter. A drinks stand and light refreshments are provided by APE volunteers throughout the day. Entry is free for visitors.

The APE, an essential player in school life in Concarneau

The APE of the city center schools of Concarneau brings together parents of students from public nursery and primary schools in the central district of Concarneau, notably the École Maternelle Publique Berthou (rue Joseph Berthou, 29900 Concarneau). Like all parents' associations, it plays an essential role in school life: organizing outings, financing educational materials, supporting teachers' educational projects, participating in school councils.

Sales and events organized by the APE — swap meets, raffles, school parties — are its main sources of income. The funds collected each year make it possible to finance enriching activities for children: theater outings, museum visits, purchases of books and computer equipment, artist interventions…

The Criée parking lot, a central place in Concarneau life

Located on quai Carnot, opposite the Ville Close, the Criée parking lot is one of the busiest public spaces in Concarneau. Its central location, a stone's throw from the fishing port, the Ville Close, and the shopping center, makes it an ideal place for organizing popular events. The Ville Close — a medieval citadel built on an islet in the harbor — provides an exceptional backdrop for the Troc et Puces, attracting tourists and locals throughout the summer season.

The Troc et Puces of the APE of the City Center Schools will be held in May 2026 at the Criée parking lot, quai Carnot, Concarneau, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Exhibitor registration required (07 68 99 38 88 or APE, 9 rue Joseph Berthou, Concarneau). Free entry for visitors.
