Grand car boot sale under the arcades of Marciac as part of Saint Mont Vineyard Festival
Marciac (32230), a village world-renowned for its Jazz in Marciac Festival, hosts a large car boot sale and flea market at the end of March, organized by the 100% Marciac association. This event is part of Saint Mont Vineyard Festival, a festive weekend celebrating the Gascon vineyard and terroir across nine communes in the region.
The car boot sale takes place in the medieval arcades and the central square of Marciac, a bastide founded in the 13th century. This exceptional architectural setting — a square with arcades made of stone — offers a magnificent backdrop for treasure hunting. Exhibitors offer second-hand items, clothing, toys, books, trinkets, crockery, and furniture under the arcades, sheltered from the sun or rain. The catering and snack area allows visitors to eat throughout the day.
This car boot sale is part of the broader Saint Mont Vineyard Festival, an event that brings together nine communes (Saint-Mont, Marciac, Plaisance, Lupiac, Aignan, Riscle, Termes d'Armagnac, Bouzon-Gellenave, and Sabazan) to discover the Saint Mont AOC vineyard. Tastings, domain visits, wine hikes, and concerts animate this weekend at the end of March, a true ode to the Gascon terroir.
Marciac is a village of 1,300 inhabitants nestled in the Gers hills. In addition to its world-renowned jazz festival, the bastide charms with its remarkable architectural heritage, its lake, its gastronomic restaurants, and its Gascon art de vivre. The March car boot sale is an opportunity to discover or rediscover this exceptional village outside the summer season.
