The Quai de la Borde borders the Seine in the southern part of Ris-Orangis, offering a calm, wooded atmosphere far from the urban bustle. The Résidence en Bois — an atypical wooden residential complex with tree-lined surroundings — has become, thanks to the association Ptilou broc'récup, one of the most original brocante venues in Essonne.
Ptilou broc'récup (tel: 06 12 35 48 77) organises several brocante flea markets per year at this riverside site, bringing together between 30 and 150 private sellers offering clothes, toys, books, knick-knacks and furniture at €8/linear metre. Free entry for visitors. The wooded, riverside setting gives these events a unique charm appreciated by sellers and visitors alike.
