The Vide-grenier de Beaumarchés takes place every late summer in the streets and squares of this royal bastide founded in 1292 by Eustache de Beaumarchais, seneschal of Toulouse. With around 100 exhibitors, it is a large-scale car boot sale for this village of 700 inhabitants, reflecting the dynamic community spirit of the commune. The Comité des Fêtes organizes the event with care, ensuring the welcome of exhibitors and catering.

Beaumarchés, bastide of Rivière-Basse

Beaumarchés is located in the Rivière-Basse region, in the north-west of the Gers, halfway between Marciac and Plaisance-du-Gers. This royal bastide retains its characteristic checkerboard layout, with perpendicular streets and a central arcaded square. The 14th-century fortified church Notre-Dame, a listed historic monument, overlooks the village with its impressive keep-like bell tower.
