The spring réderie of the Nièvre valley
The Pernois Annual Réderie takes place every spring in this Nièvre valley village, northwest of Amiens. A bargain hunting rendezvous rooted in Picardy tradition, it gathers private individuals and surrounding residents for a friendly display day: tableware, clothes, books, toys, trinkets. An authentic rural réderie reflecting the dynamic community life of this Picardy village.
Pernois is a small village of about 550 inhabitants nestled in the Nièvre valley, northwest of Amiens. Each year, the town perpetuates its spring réderie, part of the beautiful Picardy May réderies calendar.
Exhibitors — mostly Pernois and neighbouring residents — occupy the streets and offer a classic Picardy réderie range: tableware, family clothes, toys, books, vinyls, old papers, postcards, old tools, small furniture, trinkets.
The Nièvre valley is an endearing rural region, less known than the Bay of Somme but rich in authentic heritage. Pernois, with its church, red brick houses and quiet streets, illustrates the charm of deep Picardy.
Village réderies have that proper charm: artisanal organization, exhibitors know each other, visitors take time to stroll. A refreshment bar and catering, run by volunteers, extends the day in a family atmosphere.
Arrive early. Bring small cash. Park in village streets. Explore the Nièvre valley.
