Plouharnel is a coastal municipality of about 2,300 inhabitants located at the entrance to the Quiberon peninsula. Its territory includes vast protected dune areas, beaches, and part of the megalithic alignments that extend those of Carnac. The municipality, classified as a tourist resort, attracts many visitors during the summer season.
The Sainte-Barbe chapel is a small religious building located on the edge of the coast, in a preserved natural environment. The association, headquartered at 7 impasse des Plarés, works actively to conserve this local heritage. The car boot sale is its main fundraising event.
