Car boot sale at the foot of the Sainte-Barbe chapel, between dunes and ocean
The Sainte-Barbe chapel car boot sale takes place in a unique setting, at the foot of this historic chapel nestled between the dunes and the ocean in Plouharnel. Organized by the association Les Amis de la Chapelle et du Site de Sainte-Barbe, the event attracts a large crowd each year, mixing locals and holidaymakers passing through the Morbihan coast.
Plouharnel is a town of about 2,200 inhabitants located between Carnac and the Quiberon peninsula. Known for its megalithic alignments of Sainte-Barbe and Vieux Moulin, it offers remarkable natural and historical heritage. The Sainte-Barbe chapel, a 16th-century building, is one of the jewels of local religious heritage. The association Les Amis de la Chapelle has been working for years to preserve it and enhance the site.
The funds collected during this car boot sale are entirely dedicated to the renovation and maintenance of the Sainte-Barbe chapel. The 2025 edition was a great success with a significant increase in attendance.
