Annual car boot sale and local produce market on May 1st in Buzy-Darmont, Pays d'Étain
Every May 1st, the village of Buzy-Darmont hosts its annual car boot sale combined with a local produce market. This original formula allows visitors to combine bargain hunting with the discovery of local Meuse products. Individuals offer clothes, toys, books, and various items, while producers present honey, jams, cheeses, and other local specialties.
Located in the Pays d'Étain, Buzy-Darmont is a commune of 549 inhabitants, the Buzéens, in the Woëvre plain. This agricultural area, between Verdun and Étain, offers a landscape of vast fields and meadows. The village is part of the community of communes of the Pays d'Étain and retains a modest but charming rural heritage.
The MVME association has been organizing this car boot sale for several years. The event brings together the inhabitants of Buzy-Darmont and neighboring communes for a friendly day. The presence of the local produce market adds a gourmet dimension to the event, allowing visitors to leave with both finds and local flavors.
