An Original Semi-Night Car Boot Sale

The association Mon Village Mon École organizes a car boot sale with an original format every year: the semi-night one. This format allows you to enjoy the long June evenings to hunt for treasures in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, very different from traditional morning car boot sales. Exhibitors offer clothes, toys, crockery, books, and everyday items at low prices, in the gentle summer evenings.

Saint-Jean-lès-Buzy, a village in the Pays d'Étain

Located 11 km northwest of Jarny, Saint-Jean-lès-Buzy is a village of 375 inhabitants spread over 10.3 km². The commune is part of the community of communes of the Pays d'Étain, in the arrondissement of Verdun and the canton of Étain. Surrounded by the communes of Buzy-Darmont, Parfondrupt, and Béchamps, the village offers a peaceful and green rural setting. The Pays d'Étain, marked by the history of the two world wars, preserves an important memorial heritage while cultivating a dynamic associative life.

Catering is provided on-site by the association's volunteers, allowing the evening to be extended in a friendly atmosphere around a shared meal. Admission is free for visitors. This semi-night car boot sale attracts families from the Étain and Verdun area, in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

The semi-night format is particularly appreciated in June, when the days are longest of the year. Visitors can thus come in the late afternoon after work or the day's activities, and enjoy the late natural light to browse the stalls at their own pace. This unusual time slot also helps to avoid the summer heat and to hunt for treasures in pleasant conditions.
