Since 2015, the association Par Monts et Par Mots, founded by Odette Sylvestre and Michèle Court, has organized a car boot sale in the village square every August 15. Over the years, the event has grown to bring together sixty to over 70 exhibitors, becoming a must-attend event in the Haut-Lignon.

The Par Monts et Par Mots Association, Creator of the Event

Founded in 2015, the association Par Monts et Par Mots had the original idea to liven up August 15 in Chenereilles with a car boot sale. This initiative immediately charmed the inhabitants and summer visitors of the area, creating a friendly gathering in the heart of summer. Since then, the association has continued to organize and manage this event with care, ensuring its quality and conviviality.

Mandatory Booking for Exhibitors

To ensure the smooth organization of the event, booking is mandatory for exhibitors. The price is €3 for 3 meters of exhibition space. Those wishing to participate must contact the association at 06 64 38 92 34. This rule allows for the planning of stand allocation in the village square and ensures the smooth running of the day.

The Festive Evening: Cabbage Soup, Dance, and Fireworks

The August 15th in Chenereilles doesn't end with the closing of the car boot sale. From 7 p.m., the association Chenereilles en Fête takes over with cabbage soup, an Auvergne specialty par excellence. This culinary tradition brings participants together around a friendly and fragrant meal, before the popular dance in the village square and the spectacular fireworks that light up the Haut-Lignon sky in the evening. This two-part program makes August 15th in Chenereilles a complete and memorable day.
