Flea market and agricultural festival on the last Sunday of August in Mazet-Saint-Voy, organized by the Jeunes Agriculteurs de Tence
Every last Sunday of August, the Jeunes Agriculteurs de Tence transform Mazet-Saint-Voy into the agricultural capital of Haute-Loire. On the program: outdoor flea market, plowing competition, cattle competitions, producers' market, sheepdog and rodeo demonstrations, all in a unique festive and rural atmosphere on the Haut-Lignon plateau.
Every last Sunday of August, Mazet-Saint-Voy becomes the scene of a unique event in Haute-Loire: the great agricultural festival organized by the Jeunes Agriculteurs de Tence. This exceptional event combines a traditional flea market, departmental agricultural competitions, and rural entertainment to offer a full day for families, farmers, and lovers of rural heritage.
The flea market holds a prime position within this event, allowing bargain hunters to discover antiques, old agricultural equipment, tools, and second-hand items, while strolling between the stands and arenas. Exhibitors set up in the heart of the site, alongside local product vendors: cheeses, cured meats, jams, and specialties from the Haut-Lignon make up a generous regional market.
The event hosts the departmental plowing final, bringing together the best plowmen of Haute-Loire to compete on the lands of Mazet-Saint-Voy. Cattle competitions, particularly the interregional Aubrac competition, attract breeders from all over the region. Sheepdog demonstrations, wood carving, agricultural equipment exhibitions, and rodeo shows punctuate the day.
Organized by the Jeunes Agriculteurs de Tence, under the motto "where furrows trace the future of livestock farming," this event carries a strong message about the sustainability of mountain agriculture. It is also an opportunity to raise public awareness about agricultural professions and the challenges of livestock farming on the Haut-Lignon plateau, an exceptional rural territory.
The Brocante des Terres du Haut-Lignon returns on the last Sunday of August 2026 in Mazet-Saint-Voy, with a flea market, agricultural competitions, a local produce market, and rural entertainment organized by the Jeunes Agriculteurs de Tence.
