Organized every year in August by the Comité des Fêtes d'Aubusson, this event brings together between 50 and 100 exhibitors, both individuals and professionals, from 6:30 AM to 6 PM. On the banks of the Creuse, it's an invitation to have a great time and find treasures among furniture, trinkets, tableware, books, and collector's items. Refreshments and food on site complete this summer treasure hunting day in the heart of the tapestry city, a UNESCO intangible heritage site.
Every summer in August, the Esplanade Charles de Gaulle, nicknamed 'La Passerelle', hosts the Brocante Vide-Grenier of the Comité des Fêtes d'Aubusson. This vast space on the banks of the Creuse river offers an idyllic setting for a day of outdoor treasure hunting, bringing together between 50 and 100 exhibitors in a relaxed summer atmosphere. From 6:30 AM to 6 PM, visitors stroll among the stalls in search of bargains.
The Comité des Fêtes d'Aubusson organizes this event, which is part of Aubusson's busy summer calendar, alongside the famous Grande Braderie on August 14th, created in 1978 by Jacques Dabin. From 6:30 AM to 6 PM, exhibitors, individuals and professionals, offer a wide range of items: furniture, tableware, trinkets, books, vinyl records, toys, and various other articles. Refreshments on site accompany visitors throughout this day of bargain hunting.
The Esplanade Charles de Gaulle, commonly called 'La Passerelle', is a prime location for walks and gatherings in Aubusson. Bordered by the lively Creuse river, this esplanade offers a panoramic view of the old town's rooftops and the surrounding hills. Its size comfortably accommodates the dozens of exhibitors and the numerous visitors who flock there from the early morning hours.
Aubusson is world-renowned for its tapestry, inscribed on UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage of humanity since 2009. The Cité internationale de la tapisserie, inaugurated in 2016, showcases six centuries of this exceptional art. Visitors to the flea market can extend their day by exploring the old town center, its half-timbered houses, and the banks of the Creuse, a true green oasis in the heart of the Limousin region.

Aubusson is accessible via the D941 from Guéret (approx. 40 min) or the D942 from Clermont-Ferrand (approx. 1h30). The Esplanade Charles de Gaulle is located on the banks of the Creuse river, near the town center.
