The Rencon'Trad Festival is an unmissable event for traditional music in the Hautes-Pyrenees. For over 25 editions, this festival brings together musicians, dancers and enthusiasts of Occitan traditions and beyond in the small village of Avezac-Prat-Lahitte, with barely 350 inhabitants. The car boot sale fits into this unique festive and cultural atmosphere.
A village between plain and mountain
Avezac-Prat-Lahitte is located between Lannemezan and Bagnères-de-Bigorre, on the Lannemezan plateau overlooking the Adour plain. During the festival, the village comes alive with concerts, traditional dance balls, dance workshops and musical initiations. The car boot sale, set up outdoors, allows festivalgoers to browse between dances, in a convivial and relaxed atmosphere typical of trad music festivals.
