The flea market of La Chapelle-sur-Loire takes place every summer at the Étang des Gravets, a developed body of water located on rue de la Petite Motte. Around 180 exhibitors — individuals and professionals — offer furniture, tableware, trinkets, books, tools, clothing, toys, antique linens, and collector's items in a green and shaded setting, by the water. Entry is free and the atmosphere is family-friendly.
La Chapelle-sur-Loire (37140) is a municipality on the banks of the Loire, located between Bourgueil and Langeais, in the northwestern part of Indre-et-Loire. The village is situated on the right bank of the river, in a landscape of levees, floodplains, and gravel pits converted into leisure lakes — including the Étang des Gravets. The municipality is part of the AOC Bourgueil appellation area, one of the great red wines of the Loire Valley. The church and tuffeau houses in the village bear witness to traditional Loire architecture.
The Étang des Gravets offers a pleasant setting for summer treasure hunting, with green space, shade, and parking. Refreshments and food are available on site. Entry is free.
The flea market of La Chapelle-sur-Loire returns in July 2026 to the Étang des Gravets with 180 exhibitors.
