Vide-Grenier de la Fête de la Fraise de Vergt - the gourmet event
This is the weekend's flagship. The Vergt Strawberry and Flower Festival dates back to 1973. Vergt produces half of the Périgord strawberries.
What to see? Strawberry market, flower market, garage sale, vintage vehicle show. Add the Poitou mules and draft horse contests. The catering school runs cooking workshops.

Vide-Grenier de Domme - bargain hunting at the Public Garden
The Domme garage sale takes the Public Garden. Domme is listed Most Beautiful Villages in France. The hilltop bastide overlooks the valley from 250 m up.

Vide-Grenier de Salignac-Eyvigues - between Sarlat and Brive
The Salignac-Eyvigues garage sale takes the Champ de Mars square. You bargain hunt at the village center, in pure Périgord Noir.
Why this stop? Salignac is 20 km from Sarlat and 35 km from Brive-la-Gaillarde. Eyrignac castle and its gardens are 5 km away. Good break for bargain hunters heading to tourist sites.

Head to Thénon for the annual garage sale. Thénon is a canton seat of the Périgord Noir. The town sits halfway between Périgueux and Montignac. Lascaux IV is 20 km away.

Vide-Grenier des Tamalous Pizounais du Pizou - between Périgord and Gironde
The Tamalous Pizounais garage sale brings 50 to 100 stalls. They line up in front of Le Pizou's village hall. You bargain hunt at the corner of rue Victor Hugo and rue de la République.

Brocante Mensuelle de Port-Sainte-Foy - Sainte-Foy-la-Grande bastide
The Port-Sainte-Foy Monthly Flea Market opens its season this Sunday May 10. Next edition June 14. The market takes rues Victor Hugo, Alsace-Lorraine and Pasteur.
